Door County, Wisconsin, sometimes referred to as the Cape Cod of the Midwest, is the thumb of the state, a spectacular peninsula jutting out into Lake Michigan, providing hundreds of miles of coastline. Fish Creek is a walk-around village on a natural harbor, populated with historic inns, restaurants and galleries, and is adjacent to Wisconsin's largest and most beautiful state park, Peninsula Park. Fish Creek is a short bike ride from several other quaint harbor villages.
Getting Here and Getting Around
Fish Creek is 75 miles north of Green Bay, the closest city with an airport. It is located 18 miles from Sturgeon Bay, the county seat.
For Fun:
There are back roads to explore and islands and lighthouses to visit. Shops and galleries can be found in every nook and cranny of the peninsula.
